OCD Checklist

Youd make a great architect.
Form over function...it looks pretty even if it doesnt work...

It's not like I leave them flopping loose. It's more like I can go another quarter turn and be tight or leave it and be aligned. Alignment wins.

I also won't step on lines or cracks if I can help it. If I don't think about it I'm ok but as soon as I start noticing the lines it's game on.

I'm not OCD but I agree with McCraken on the light switch screws

socks...left to right,shoes...right to left
items on the edge of a desk not aligned with the edge or up to the edge...spaced evenly or touching
I eat one thing at a time...leaving the meat for last.Really don't want them touching on the plate But I do make allowances for soups, stews, stuff that has to be mixed.
NC4x4 first thing I go to in the morning and first thing when I come home...all other sites are secondary

I always straighten the vents in a car so they are flush w/ the dash. And always set my alarm on a odd number.

I don't think I'm OCD, but there are certain things I like done certain ways for certain reason(s). I cringed at about every picture in that link, so I may be slightly OCD after all...

my stereo has to be on an even volume (14, 16, 18, etc)
An ex-girlfriend did this, I would always turn the radio or TV up or down by 1 when she wasn't looking...fun times!

This.

Screws have to be straight up and down on switch and rec covers. On 3 way switches, when all lights are off, all of the switches should be down. My wife will turn a 3 way on on one end of the room and turn it off on the other, leaving both switches up and lights off. I have to go behind her and flip both of them.

I hate having unread texts, emails, or voicemails left on my phone.

I dont think it is OCD as much as my desire for balance and symmetry.

I eat one thing at a time too, have always caught flack for it. I don't like juice from one thing running into another. I LIKE plates with dividers! :D

Me too....my sister sent me that. It made my OCD and acute Autism flare up!

I showed my wife this without any preconceived notions of what it was about. She looked at the pencils and yelled "WHO WOULD DO THAT!!!" I hit the floor laughing! The rest drive her nuts, but the pencils had her annoyed. She actually reached for the screen when she saw the airplane table latch. Then realized, duh! she couldn't turn it.

And Dylan, she will straighten a welcome mat as well.

The one that got me the worst was the access covers on the sidewalk. The painted cobblestone lines didnt line up at all.

My cousins can't stand when their food touch. I personally love when my corn juice gets in my taters or my steak sauce gets all in my green beans. But at holiday diners I grab and shake their plates so their food touches. They hate it but I find it way more entertaining than anyone else.

My wife used to have ocd bad. 19 years with me cured her of it.

Man this hurts!! I've had the "symptoms" for as long as I can remember. It has been interesting for sure. I guess that's part if why I love *cough cough HATE!* building trail rigs and bending tube so much. Heaven forbid the tube or brackets don't line up side per side.

Man ... you guys are nuts! Crazy I tell ya!
One of the guys I work with .... when he opens his locker he touches everything .... EVERYTHING in it ..... then gets whatever he wants out and then touches everything in it before closing the door.
He's actually "straightening" everything up.

He does the same thing to our work desk.

When operating the equipment ... touches every stinking control , button and switch on the control panel.

When on the forklift, he pick up something he just set down to move it an 1/8" so it lines up with whatever is beside of it.

BTW - Most of y'all are in denial .... the need for "symetry and balance" ... OCD .... yer nuts I tell ya!

Matt
