That's right, this event has been going on for 33 years! This year, Dixie run 2019 will be held at Adventure Off Road Park. (AOP) in South Pittsburg TN. Wonderful park with all levels of wheeling available!
Registration is now open at SFWDA website

Site says Friday till Sunday, but most folks show up on Wednesday or Thursday.

AOP is a great park and SFWDA runs a great event. I registered the other day. Looking forward to it.

I really wish I had the vacation time to go. Need some Area 51 redemption.

I am going. I was plannign to take the buggy, I see they have three levels of rides. Super easy - scenic, easy, and moderate.

IF'n that's what they say is there, someone hasn't experienced all they have. There is plenty there for a buggy, and some I'd not want any part of!

There's trails there that'll test what your buggy can handle.
I mean that with total respect. AOP is a legit park buddy

Is there an app with a map of aop for download? I've looked and can't find one but thought someone here may know something I don't.

Maplets, if you're an android user you'll need to download Amazon App store first and download through it.

I have been before, I just thought it was odd that ride sign ups were limited.

You don’t want to go on a guided ride.

There have been more trails added since this.

Here are the ones I personally love (ignore riot hill....that was highlighted before I scanned it)

Y'all have fun. I wanna go to AOP, but not when there's a big event happening.
    Take pics and enjoy!

50% of why I'm NOT going.

First time we went to AOP we planned so far ahead that a busted knuckle bounty hill challenge booked AFTER us, and we camped with 9,283,698,257 drunk bouncer rednecks. I nearly killed a man that night. And that's not an exaggeration by an stretch.
I fear if I laid eyes on that buggy I would never see my wife or kids again except thru plexiglass.

Better for everyone if I stay home

the other 25% is because I'm SO close to finishing up Garagemahall and need to be here for "decisions" 25% is because I'm broke as hell from Garagemahall

Stay away from the guided rides. Learn their schedule, and route and stay on the other side of the mountain from them. If you go wed/thur you will likely be able to explore all the routes. Friday will be interesting.
Saturday, take a cooler and a chair and park near the bottom of 70-74 (first left before you even climb the first hill) and be entertained all day

Yup. I love the sound of SXS blasting through Putney Campground at 3am myself! Especially when I'm sleeping on a cot outside. :sniper:

I can't image waking up so dusty that you look like a mummy emerging from a 3k yr old tomb

Good advice....cancelling the rides I signed up for. I want to wheel a bit, not sit in lines and sweat balls all weekend. Thanks for the insider info!

I did Trailfest last year and there is enough room at AOP that the trails were really not crowded.

Being that this is my first Dixie Run, I'm hoping that it's about the same crowd wise.

This was just a bounty hill event

Start at 0:44:00 for the drive thru the crowd

Just us grillin' out by the cabin and having a few beers.

PS- this was in response to Jody's post (19). It doesn't make as much sense down here. Not sure why it took so long to post. I'm not drinking today, swear. :shaking:
