Official 2008 Panthers thread

^ they were playing the chargers....one of the favorites for the super bowl this year. they werent going to blow them out! just be excited they actually won!

I wasn't referring to them playing the Chargers. I was referring to the future games this year. I don't like them being the "Cardiac Cats."

Panthers are getting off to a decent start, finally.

However, I just keep up with the highlights on Sportscenter because watching NFL games is about as boring as watching paint dry.

Either way, Go Panthers, but secretly rooting for the Skins...

That is all.

Steelers Looked completely different than the Preseason...
I hope we keep it rolling
Yeah, but Houston is a pretty soft team. With the toughest schedule in the NFL, we'll see what the old Steelers have this season. IF all the big names stay healthy and the O line can hold out, it'll be a good season.

Damn what a game. I can't believe we pulled that out. First half looked like shit but the D made some great plays and Jonathan stewart got it done on the ground. The Cardiac Cats are back.

Went to the game yesterday. Free tickets form the future inlaws, third row in the end zone!
Man the first half was bad, really didn't want to make the ride home with a loss! They pulled it out and the ride home was GOOD. Get Smith back next week and we should be complete.
Go Panthers!!

x2. the D was pumped up. lets go 3 & 0 next week.

Which will probably be doing nothing this year.....YOu might as well switch over to being a jets fan......:flipoff2:

Funny, but I can't agree. Aaron Rodgers has played like a vet so far. The Panthers/Packers game should be a good one this season.

Anyone else here absolutely hate Chris Gamble? What a lazy fawk. His career consists of coincidentally benefiting from our defense making good plays.

Chris Harris is a beast and his efforts won the game for us this past weekend.

BTW, Jonathan Stewart made the cover of the sports section of USA Today. The article was about teams transitioning to predominantly running based offenses. Pretty cool I thought.

Yeah I agree. Aaron Rodgers has played very well this year and has surprised me....

I can't stand Gamble. Hes about as lazy as a donkey. I can't believe hes still a Panther.

what are you guys smoking? chris gamble may not be the best CB youve ever seen, but he is pretty good. yea he has his moments but more than not he is making good defensive plays.

also.......isnt wisconsin in canada?

I'd be willing to bet that a 1/3 of the touchdowns we give up came from dropped coverage by Gamble.

All of his interceptions/fumble recoveries come from others (Marshall, Lucas, Davis, Beason, etc.) making great defensive plays. He is just there to scoop up the loose ball or catch the tipped pass.

He is a joke and I also can't believe he is still a Panther, and a way over-payed one at that.
