Our main water feed (12") to the factory is leaking at 3 flanges causing one hell of an ice skating ring at the main entrance.

More to come as the sun rises i'm sure.

If anyone finds a bunch of water in their home or business as things warm up, call my company AdvantaClean if your in the triad. We stocked are trucks yesterday and are ready for flood jobs.

No visible leaks for me, but no shower this morning. Only water running was the bath room sink, at least I got my teeth a bath. I turned the thermostat up and cracked all the faucets. Hopefully the bathroom doesn't turn into a sauna for my dog.

Had a fire in the wood stove burning locust all night. Also turned on the furnace to keep the outer perimeters warm (first time in 3 years its has run for more than 15 minutes). Nice and toasty 72 all night. All good in my hood! :huggy:

It was -1 at my house this morning and my outdoor temp sensor is on the side of the front porch so it probably is slightly colder away from the house. When I let the dogs out last night I watched the "outdoor" temp raise 3 degrees just from a couple seconds of heat escaping.

I have a hydronic heater in my house and it could barely keep up. Had it set for 71 and woke up to 67. Jumped in the shower and by the time I got out it was cold water.

Did plug the truck in last night with success and still have my heater wire on the pipes plugged in.

SON OF A !!!!!! I laughed at this one, then got in the wife's car to take the kids to school and of course the damn fuel light is on! If I didn't have another kid at home sick, I'd leave it on E for her this afternoon!

How about a "who's fan casing rusted out in their gas pack so it won't run and a replacement can't be installed till Thursday" thread?

Yeah, our unit went out Friday night. We've been running the gas logs and two electric unit heaters, up until last night it kept it pretty comfortable. When it was 9 degrees this morning and we turned the logs off for the night, it was pretty uncomfortable. Not too cold, but it was chilly.

All's well here.... This is how I started my morning....

Did have to go out and start the wife's car for her.... ahhh the joys of working at home...

Our kitchen sink is on an outside wall and always freezes up if the temperatures gets down into the teens. I finally decided this past Sunday to figure out why. I thought maybe there was insulation missing. To my surprise, when I pulled the vinyl siding off, part of the wall was missing! I removed what was left of the fiber board and the ruined insulation, added pipe insulation, replaced the wall insulation, and installed OSB. Pipes did not freeze last night or this morning!!

I had no trouble this morning. I just shut the vents on the crawlspace. My dodge is from Mississippi so it doesn't have a plug. Started right up. Truck said 7*

Im kinda surprised you're allowed to take pics inside the powerplant. Seems that would be national security issue.
