One night in Vegas with wife & kid

We're headed to Utah in a few months.

We're flying into Vegas, but headed to St. George right away...

We're flying out of Vegas & will be there one night...any pointers?

Which hotel to stay at, family-friendly stuff to see, etc...

I've never been to Vegas, Utah, etc...

Thanks in advance.
 
Goofing off for a week...there will be some light off-road exploring, some minivan touring, etc

Turbos out, per the adult in this relationship...#sadface
 
A family friendly place I recommend is the pinball hall of fame. Sounds lame but I had a freaking blast playing machines all the way from the 50s. My son is 10 months old so all the flashing lights had him hooked. It’s also free to go and games are anywhere from .25-$1.00.

Speed Vegas is pretty cool to go out and watch. Participating is a blast but just watching super cars rip around the track was fun as well.

I’ve done the rides at the top of the Stratosphere and it was fun. Not sure the age/size of your kids but it’s cool to see everything from that high up.

Red Rock Canyon is also a great place to visit/hike. Beautiful out there and about 30 minutes from the strip.

As for food, @Chris_Keziah mentioned two really good places that we ate at last week. Actually liked them so much I ate at each place twice.

Was there last week. Everything is expensive.

But actually, we had pretty good sushi at our hotel for reasonable prices that were similar to NC. Riki Tiki sushi

We went to the circus o le show at Treasure Island. Was pretty cool and very kid friendly, especially if they like gymnastic type stunts.

Freemont Street is kid friendly before 8pm. You can zip line down the street, which is cool. There is a taco and pizza place there, can’t remember the name. Little hole in the wall place. Doesn’t look like much but had great tacos and was cheap by Vegas standards, especially for Freemont St.

Oh and do the tourist thing and visit this sign:
