That some wheelers are downright nasty. I showed up at Arrowhead with my family late Sunday afternoon. I took my son to the bathhouse that evening for a shower and WOW! The bathhouse was DISGUSTING! WTF! Every single toilet unflushed, some full of shit and the rest piss yellow. How hard is it to flush a damn toilet? Toilet paper and piss all over he floors in the stalls. Wash rags and soap left on the divider walls in the shower area. Some lazy ass left his red clay stained socks on the shower floor, and empty soap boxes all over the place. The thing that put me over the edge was the Trojan condom wrapper that some jackass left on the floor. Try explaining that one to your seven year old boy.

To the people that left the bathhouse in that condition....
Please go find something else to do with your time and quit ruining this hobby for everyone else.

Great - convinced the wife to take a day off to pull the camper down there the 24-26 of this month, with our 10 yr old daughter. Hope whoever trashed the bathhouse isn't planning on coming back.

Well my wife said the ladies bathroom was not too bad, so you will likely be okay there. And me showing up on sunday made it worse since the only clean on weekdays.

We also picked up two grocery bags of NEW trash off the trails while we we there. Quite disappointing as well. Janet at Arrowhead said the "adopt a trail" groups were up there cleaning up trash before opening weekend. There was plenty of NEW trash on the trails from this weekend. I just don't get it. :shaking:

We also learned the forest service is more interested in writing tickets than putting gravel on the roads. Its a state road so where is the upkeep, suprised I didn't bust all my trailer tires, really disapointed

I dont get it....

Why would the dude put the condom on in the BATHROOM as opposed to his final destination? Your telling me he walked around with it on his wanker to go meet his lady? Maybe he decided that he should be prepared early?

tickets???as in keeping the drinking off the trails and camp ground? Good for them...more than likely-its the drunks fawking up the bath house and dropping their stuff where ever. Last year I found tissue behind every tree 50 yards from the trail near the top of Kodak Rock! Guess the women cant resist dropping their whipping paper when their done either:shaking:

thats a really good statement for the opening weekend...bath house screwed up,trails littered, and who knows what else. I heard some zuki boys might have had something to do with the bath house...any truth to this????

LOL. Im not sure, I'm just glad I didn't find the final product. I just kept thinking what kind of trashy-ass girl is gonna do her boyfriend in the mens shower room, amongst all the dirty socks, empty soap boxes and muddy floors?

he found the wrapper in the bath house:shaking: more that likely...it was opened there! what a slack fawker...(not you-the guy who left it)

Nah they we're just blatantly pulling people over for anything and everything, I guess just trying to set the tone for the new season

ha, wouldn't put it past some of the locals i know . . . .

My only regret was not having the foresight to take a picture of the mess to post up. Nothing tells the story like a picture.

I searched through my buddys trailer toolbox for some rubber gloves to clean up some of the mess but couldn't find any. When I went back with a grocery bag to try and clean it up the cleaning people were already there. I felt shitty about the mess they were having to deal with. Especially when its quite obvious that four wheelers left the mess in the first place.

Good point.

Suppose I have too much class to want to lay the woman in a nasty ass national park bathroom!

Ive got a tent for that shit!

So, did anyone on here get a ticket? Were the cops everywhere? Did they set up checkpoints?

I heard from a reliable source that at least two handles of Jack Daniels and 3 cases of beer were confiscated off the trails this weekend. My question was what do they do with all that booze?

I would call her a keeper

As far as the tickets go, not he drinking kind, stopping everybody for traffic crap

Well being fairly new to the whole 4x4 wheeling thing, this makes me wanna kick someone dead in there ASS:wtf:
We (wheelers) are definitely addicted to a costly sport that takes alot of time and money to have fun ... then their are a FEW fuctards that want to ruin some of our chances at going places where our "toys" can play in there enviroment :driver:
Like I said I'm new to this (2yrs) and have already seen one kinda "local" trail get closed down and never had a chance to go see what I've heard to be one of the most beutiful trails as far as wheelin goes in the country :shaking:
PICK UP AFTER YOURSELF AND HAVE SOME DAMN RESPECT :flipoff:

Just to be sure, where is alcohol allowed? I'd heard in camping areas, can someone clarify? Last thing I wanna do is have all my booze poured out and get a ticket. I don't drink and drive, but I like to wind down in the evening.

Nowhere on NF lands

This doesnt bode well. Since they clsoed Tellico, now alot of those regulars may head over to Uwharrie now, caused larger crowds, and this would jsut give more ammo for them to close Uwharrie down. Come on slobs, pick up after yourselves. Your momma isnt there to help you. :(

How were the crowds opening weekend?

Also, I just don't get slobs and people that litter. If we are out there wheeling, then it must mean we like the sport, so why would you go and do things that would get the trails closed? Some people need to grow up and start acting like an adult.

One thing to keep in mind here guys, is that we as 4x4 truck/jeepers are not the only users of the Uharrie trail system.
Think about all the people who ride in like a storm and unload about 14 4wheelers (quads/ATVs) and raise hell for a day and hit the road. I dont feel like (just a perception, not fact) that particular crowd carries as much ownership as we do. They could care less if it gets shut down b/c there are a ton more places to rides trail fleas than what we have access to. How many quad groups have adopted trails? This thread may not be reaching the proper audience, but I dont blame you for venting. The only time I have personally used the facilities there was during last years 4xcross event, and considering the amount of people there its was not too bad. Now I think that goes along way to show how when a mass of wheelers are in town how things get taken care of.

That is why I prefer primitive camping... you can dig your own clean cat hole!
