Oxy-Acetylene Recommendations?

Tell us you're getting "soft", without telling us... šŸ¤£ (kidding, kidding!)
Sounds like I need to wrestle a couple to find the balance between CF/capacity to required arse-power ratio

My use (hopefully) will be very "occasional"... mainly heating chores for bending, rust busting, etc. (that smaller propane ain't touching) and cutting needs not handled by death wheels/plasma cutter...

The Harris folks were VERY helpful. They recommended a couple propane/NG cutting tips based on material thickness and when asked about a rosebud, said the cutting tips are larger flow than the largest available "rosebud"
Another reply so it isn't buried by the other.....

You say the small Propane isn't cutting it. Think, your new to you in propane will be the same btu, just more of it to get the heat you want. Take the same flame in Acetylene and you get more BTU. Often softer less roar and less oxygen that is a oxidizing flame. That non neutral flame makes sever processes more difficult if not damaging to mild steel.

Edit: yes I'm a Acetylene fan boy..... šŸ˜‚

By "smaller propane" I mean the "bernzomatic" soldering torch = simply won't get a 2.5" nut "glowing red" (first project with torch)

I get the glaring inefficiencies of propane (less BTUs, uses more O2, blah, blah, blah), but for whatever reasons, folks either like it or don't...
I'll report what I do/don't like right here, so everyone can say "told you so" ;)

Please do.....I was highly encouraged to switch because Acetylene was supposed to become in short supply. I didn't want to have to change all my gear over and sell multiple bottles for a loss. I was asking about a torch a size up and the salesman wanted to revamp my whole program. I asked him to exchange my cylinder, left, and purchased the direct torch I asked about elsewhere.
