I’ve been on this board since back in the early 2000s but have been MIA as I was in Georgia for a long time, but am since back in NC and figured might as well get back with it!

Want to make sort of an ongoing build thread post with some of the builds we’ve done and have ongoing. We have 4 builds in progress right now with another 2 coming in behind, so I’ll share updates on them all here as we go.

Just for some of the past, here are a few of the builds finished and out there. Not all of these were done turnkey by us and this isn’t all of them. There are currently 49 chassis out there in all. Mixture of 2, 3 and 4 seaters.

My favorite build to date was the “No Budget” build that was built along side my personal buggy (more on this one below). The owner was a friend in the Atlanta area that truly had a no budget, open checkbook ask. He wanted the best of the best and let me just run wild with the build, which was amazing. That buggy turned out great and he’s been beating on it for about 2 years now. It was built around a big 1500hp blown 427 from Nelson Racing Engines, 10” high pinion gearworks 40 spline diffs, Tubeworks housings, ADS shock package, rear steer, our 1550 fabricated Cs and Knuckles front and rear, air conditioning and heat 🤣. It was a ton of fun to build and wheel!

Then the main builds we have right now in the shop are my personal build, which is this one - naturally dubbed “Low Budget” as it was build right next to the No Budget build. It’s essentially the same buggy but a different engine and no rear steer. 440ci Thompson Motorsports LS, Reid TH400, race case atlas, radflo shock package, our 1550 Cs and Knuckles, gearworks 10” 40 spline HP diffs, EcuMasters wiring and controls. I’ll do a full build thread on these 2 buggies as I get time.

Then we have 3 other really cool customer builds in work as well. 2 of the new 2 seater sheetmetal hood chassis and one 3 seater with a jeep front end on it.

10” axles, radflo shock package, our 1550 Cs and Knuckles, etc

I will try and individually go through each of the builds in this thread as well - they all have cool things about them that make them unique. But they are all based off of the CNC bent and notched 2 or 4 seat chassis we have.

My favorite build to date was the “No Budget” build
I'm fairly certain we were on crackhead at Golden mountain at the same time last year around early December with this buggy. I thought I remembered someone saying it was the no budget buggy. Damn that thing is nice

nice! i remember seeing that buggy there, badass little dig unit! Golden Mountain, AOP, Hawk Pride ... thats the ATL groups stomping grounds for sure

I suppose I can give an update:

My personal buggy, The Low Budget build was finished up earlier this year and wheeled a few times before it got to hot out. Worked pretty well didn’t have any issues other than I busted two shock eyes… which was entirely my fault for forgetting to tighten the jam nuts on that trailing arm. But got that fixed up easily. It’s torn apart at the moment getting some new axle housings and being prepped for Hammers in February. Been super happy with it and got the Thompson 440 running like a raped ape after Schofield got his tuning hands on it.

Couple pics of that one:

Also been finishing up this 3 seater for a local guy in Concord. I have @getstucksome helping me around the shop and we are just about finished with it. It’s turned out pretty well! Built a full stainless exhaust all the way out the back of the body, it’ll get headersheild from header to tailpipe to keep the heat down. CBM 427, Fritts Reid TH400, Behemouth case, crane 14bolts, pretty solid little build. It’s hard to get pics of this one where it’s sitting in the shop but I’ll get some good ones when we roll it outside soon.

Then I ran out to Texas for a few days to plumb one of my builds at a customers shop - I don’t normally do that kind of stuff but I had the time and it just so happened to work out. This is another cool build - it’s got the sheetmetal front end add-on.

Wizzo 10” housings and my fabricated 1550 Cs and Knuckles, gearworks HP10s, 6.0, TH400, race case atlas, radflo shock package, more billet trailing arms, solid build. Used all FLF plumbing on it.

And then we tossed in a little refresh of a JHF buggy for my good buddy Travis Watford in there as well. This thing came to me with some churched up air shocks, tires rubbing shocks, axles hitting the chassis, amazon lighting, a poorly cut down LS harness, some old analog gauges and, a horrible wiring job. So I stripped it all out, did a complete Holley system, rebuilt the dash to house a big Holley screen and GPS unit, switchpro system, rewired the whole thing, cut the shocks off and added some radflo coilovers (and made the tires not hit them lol), fixed axle location issues, added a rack setup to the back, moved some things around, new seats and upholstery, added a Branik sway bar to the rear, some baja designs lighting, and just overall cleaned it up and fixed it ready to ride. Shock tuning in December and then we are on the trailers to hammers!

Here is what it looked like when I got it vs when it was done:
