So I bought a patio peach from Lowes a couple years ago and it's been probably the best tree I've ever bought. It's puts out peaches every year and they are friggin' delicious. So much in fact that it's brings all the coons to the yard because, damn right, they're better than yours.

Now the squirrels are in on the party. The tree is in a large pot on the deck so I'm struggling to come up how to protect it. I have an electric fence on the garden for the deer so I thought about somehow pulling off that for some fun but im not sure how to make it happen just yet. I read where you can hang moth balls near the peaches because they cant stand the smell.

Anybody dealt with a small tree on their deck before that needs protection?

the biggest issue with squirrels is that they arent touching the ground then they might touch the wire, and so they wont get shocked. Capsaicin can help to deter them. Sprinkle hot pepper dust all over everything including the fruit.

Are they just coming during the day? The red eyes might work for night time. I might just have your dogs hang out on the deck during the day.

I'm disappointed this has not been suggested yet
