It's on like a pot-a neck bone....
Go ahead and tell Pecos Bill not to wear purple....
He dares you....I tried not to watch Jonathan Pearce have all the fun this weekend, straight showing up all the bigger and badder rigs with his little Dirt Dobber. Ehh, I don't care what tools and equipment I don't have, I'm just gonna have to give him some competition. I've probably designed this thing 35 times in my head.
Gonna fire up the CAD software, right after I fire up this thread.
List of knowns for the D REED DESIGNS, "Pecos Bill" rock buggy build:
- Toyota rear engine 22r
- Toyota 2wd / 4 speed transmission
- Transfer case.... NOT....
- 2 Twisted Stitch racing seats
- 4 King shocks, remote reservoir
- Toyota front and rear steer
- Special springs
- JL marine amplifier and MB-Quart marine speakers
- Integrated, full on, see in the dark light set up
- Integrated beverage cooler
- Lacking pounds and Stacking wicked-ness
- It will work
Not going to list the unknowns, because the list is far too great for any of us to read in one sit down. The suspension idea is something I haven't even seen built before. I really think it will work and now that I'm committed to it, I have to figure it out. I am really glad I met, and worked with Dave from Olivers Drive Shaft this weekend.
Sure he's going to have to help me figure out some craziness. Inspiration - Dirt Dobber / Jonathan Pearce = Blame on him
Time frame - Hope were not all forced into Islam by then
Attitude - Pecos Bill.... Ropin tornado's with rattlesnakes and stuff
Simple - Yes / No
Donor Pile:
Get a grip on your seat boys and girls, cause it's gonna be a wild ride.

Looking forward to this. I've got a rear steer buggy with a Toyota drivetrain being built right now and I can't wait to beat on it.
