Im a doer. While I can visualize how things should work and go, I can only REALLY learn by getting in there and doing it.

I do all of the above in a typical day. Is that the question?

Historically, I've been auditory. In school, if I heard it, I usually had it...and could practically apply it to real life. The 'doing it' just improved muscle memory and the ability to repeat the task and become more efficient in doing so.

When I am skeptical . I say " Really?" When I have no idea what they are talking about, I Say "I don't understand, I'll have to see it"
And sometimes, "Id's have to do it, for it to make sense"
And these days with all the electronics and computers, and fuel injection. It's more like..."Teach me"

Well, the way this was explained to me was that if generally your response to an explanation was 1,2,3, - or if you were explaining something to someone and asked them, 1,2,3. Not necessarily a hard and fast decision as to how your brain works best, but a good indicator nonetheless. I generally ask someone else, "do you see what I'm saying (or what I mean)?" Even though the discussion may be entirely over the phone. I can have someone explain something to me and sometimes understand, but to me, I have to see something to understand it. Even if I can't necessarily directly see the internals..
