Have you heard about this? I saw it on FB and couldnt really believe it. Some animal rescuers spent several nights rescuing hogs from flooded areas, when farmers show up to get their livestock, its realized that the rescuers are snowflake peta types and just dont want the pigs to get slaughtered.

Not sure how to link the stories, but look up Daniel Terbert from Raleigh NC on FB..

Several videos to see on his page..and the comments from the left and right will entertain for hours.
I find it hilarious and very gratifying that the law steps in and makes sure the farmer gets his property back. Even though the peta people dont think of animals as property.
Damn I wish I could link this( maybe someone can) I think you folks would enjoy watching the snowflake girl cry for the cameras at the end.

Good lord, some of the comments are off the charts.......can people really be this disconnected, weird, enlightened, or I just got no words....

I am on some Tobacco related FB pages and a lot of the folks there are some of the same folks who have the hog farms and were hit by the hurricane. This deal w Smithfield foods and Peta had been goin on for a while, lawsuits have been filed, some under false pretenses, and people have lost their livelihood and some will lose their family farms over em.I would not be surprised if somebody don't wind up shot over this.Kudo's to the farmer,he handled that mouthy bitch in the black shirt better than I would have.DId you hear where they were takin them??? Asheville.

Was thinking the same. There's no way I would have kept my cool like this guy did.

I have heard those hog spas in Asheville are pretty nice though...

I know farmers can get crop insurance, and disaster insurance, flood insurance... is there PETA idiot insurance?

I like the ad that is on this page right now!

No kidding. I just about don't want to live in a world where their way of thinking is "normal".

A couple of things I noticed while watching this......

1) It would appear that the one girl walking around with the camera has a leather camera bag strapped around her waist.

2) The officer having to explain the difference between livestock and pets was hysterical.

3) (it was hard to understand a lot of the conversation, so I'm not real sure on this one) It appeared that when the farmer backed up his trailer to put the hogs into it, they just released them from their trailer onto the road and watched them go un-tethered. Wasn't that their initial complaint was that the animals were just roaming around with nobody caring for them? Didn't they just do what they accused the farmer of doing?

4) I don't think I've laughed harder than when the girl explains that they were contaminated by walking around in the dirty water, but since they had to go through the dirty water to get the hogs, the farmer didn't want to be around them since they were contaminated.

So they are from Asheville. Possibly associated with brother wolf? One had a brother wolf shirt on.

Their argument of if they were cats and dogs it would be different is just stupid if for some reason I wasn’t able to get my dog and I went back for my dog and you found him doesn’t mean you get to take him. He is still mine just like the pigs are still the farmers.

And the shit that pisses me off more than any one other thing. These people have a different view of food and animals then the farmer and me. I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THAT. But I do not have to fallow you and hate that they continuously push their views on everyone else (in the comments is pretty obvious). If the pigs were starving or showed signs of abuse or mishandling it’s one thing but them pigs are healthy for running wild for a couple days largely with out food. It just pisses me off when people have different views and feel the need to push their agenda and views on you but don’t want to consider any other view point. And then call you close minded.

After watching it again I’d say that farmer is most likely not a Smithfield pork farmer. If the pork industry is similar to the chicken industry, any Smithfield farms that the pigs could be contaminated are already dead. And farmers have been compensated. They can’t afford to risk contamination. To me that guy comes off as a family independent farmer and probably raises pigs to supplement his grain/tobacco harvest.

I can tell you that those aren’t Smithfield hogs I worked everyday during the storm keeping generators filled with fuel, spent 6 hours getting to one farm that was less than 30 miles away. Hogs loaded out of destroyed houses to other farms. Spent days cutting trees out of farm paths standing in 4 foot of water to ensure animals would be taken care of

If you share my views, I will likely have a conversation about those views. If you do not, but welcome discussion where we can learn from one another, I will likely have a conversation with you. If you and I have totally opposing viewpoints, and you are simply looking to argue your point. I will gladly look at you funny without uttering a word.
I 100% believe we are born wired a certain way, and very few opinions in your world will change. ESPECIALLY when rammed down your throat. Just like these political ads, and smear campaigns. 90% of us knew how we were going to vote this time last year, no amount of commercials, digging up dirt, or exposing someones sexlife will likely change the way any of us vote in the next election

Unless your sheeple. We got a lot of sheep out in the wild.

EDIT...OR LAZY, stupid, uneducated and so forth. All real labels and real people we can't objectify for hurting feelings. Even with the intent of helping pick their head up out of the mud or someones arse.
