Pics From Harlan This Past Weekend

nice pics joel. i hope to go there one day.

Thanks Mike! We had a great time and I am sure you would too. As Will already mentioned, there was an EB group out there and I was watching for ya.

dern man hate to here that

Yeah, it was a bit of a bummer. But she had a great time so it all worked out. :)

can you share the route??? I am going up to harlan for the first time.
Jeff, since you're heading out from Lincolnton, you should try my route. I made it in exactly 5 hours from Stanley. You should be able to shave 20-30 minutes off of my time. From Linc, take 321 to 40 west. In Asheville, take 240 to 26 west (actually north) into TN. Follow I26 until it changes to route 23. There's no intersection for this, the interstate just turns into a 4 land then into a 2 lane in VA. Follow 23 to 421 north (this will be a left turn at an intersection). Continue on 421 through Harlan. At the Huddle House in Harlan turn right onto route 38 (could be wrong on the rt. #) and that gets you straight into Evarts in about 15 minutes.
