I'm with Ron I called my buddies that are county rangers in WNC all of them said on a normal year 40-60 days this year it was so wet in spring a few more but there hands are tied for controlled burns

They have 40 - 60 burn days between March and May?

Maybe I should have clarified that I'm not counting nuking a timber harvest cut in the summer for a site prep as a burn day.

Growing season at higher elevations extends well into June July isnt out of the question
