Why does some pics show on a post and others have a link? Is it size or the way the post was made?

I beleive if you upload more then one pic at a time they will show as a link

if you do one at a time they show the picture.

you can also upload them , then manage them..

Some posts have multiple pics that show up????? Anybody have some input??

its all in how you do it.
you can attach 3 pics and then click the paperclip and insert each of the 3 images individually and all will show up, like this:
