places for a wedding

I would love to get married at kodak rock, i think it would be cool. The GF is all for it, and then a reception under tent at the grassy field at the outpost, i think it would be awesome.

On the other had, a more pratical choice is your local country club, usually a nice green grass area to get married, and then most country clubs have a huge hall for the reception right there all in one place, along with usually large parking lots, staff on hand etc.....

What about Queens Landing in Mooresville on hwy 150?

I was best man in a wedding there, on a paddle wheel boat. It was kinda neat, with boats drifting by and other folks on the lake yelling ''congrats'' or ''dont do it''. Kinda funny to see the preacher trying to hold back his laughter when a boatful of folks were yelling'' jump in the water man, we will pick you up''

It was funny and beautiful, but your mother-in-law to be probably wont like the shanagans of other boaters.

dude i got it....there is this new group of house's just north of Corrolla on the outer banks...its called Corrova....4x4 access only....have your wedding on the beach and then get in the truck/buggy/etc and drive to one of the houses for ur honeymoon......what ya think about that.....or get your diving certifications and get married underwater....that would be pretty cool too, that actually just popped into my mind as i was typing the first

dude....the wedding at kodak rock would be F*&KIN AWESOME!!! when you say your vows actually be standing on it tho.....but dont fall....or have your truck posted up on it and be standing in front...wouldnt that make for the perfect "hey yall we just got married" picture to send to all your friends haha....then you could go honeymoon in the truck on top of daniel lol

a lot of great ideas coming in, so i appreciate all of that. to many responses to reply to all of them but i am passing along the ideas to the boss only to be shot down on most of them, including Uwharrie, but its fun to talk about it none the less....keep them coming and thanks for the pictures and links that people have shared with me...

Pretty random but me and my fiance got engaged a little over a month ago and have obviously been talkign about where to get married. We have all kinds of ideas of places but i was wondering if some of you guys could post up some good places that you were either married at or have been to weddings at....We have some time to plan it all out so we are not in any rush but just throwing around some ideas so any cools places that you guys have seen weddings at, with a link or a picture or something would be really helpful as well...Thanks, and keep all the "dont get married crap to yourselves":flipoff2:

My wife and I got married at Quail Hollow Presbyterian Church (down the road from South Meck HS), followed by a reception at The Embassy Suites off of Woodlawn and Billy Graham. We picked that place due to the number of guests we were having that were flying in from NY.

By the way...Congrats! :)
