Post Pics of your Tralier

Fenders are 10" C channel and yes that is cleating to help pull over them. My rig is 93" wide and I had them build the trailer 102" with the fenders like that to keep the overall height down.

18' hudson 4 ton trailer. Was bought for the farm to haul the tractor but its hauled the tractor about twice and my jeep probably over 20 times by now. I actually don't like it. Its too long and tows like crap when empty.

I'm planning on getting something smaller one day.

I would personally feel a lot better towing that if it had two straps on the rear.

Me too. I use one through the spring hanger on the front and one at each corner on the rear.

I meant to ask you, I noticed last weekend at URE that your Jeep was loaded backwards on the trailer. isn't that a little ass-backwards? how did it tow loaded that way? any difference?

I loaded it backwards because it seemed to distribute the weight better. Since I've got a 1/2 ton with stock springs I have to keep the weight near the rear of the trailer. The engine forward made the truck sag too much I thought. It towed fine backwards. I tried it forwards this past weekend and kept it further to the rear of the trailer and it did fine too. I like it forward better. Easier to load that way. Can't tell a difference in ride though. Less wind resistance I'm sure. :p
