Thats good news. Take it day by day. Of what I learn once you get the vomiting under control then get the acid reducer to work on getting all the lining of the stomach and esophicaus (spelling) It should take about a month from that point that you can look back and it just be a memory. But I do not know that this medication needs to be taken throughout the duration of the perscription and would not hurt to do a 2 week regiment of the prilosec after the perscription is out. thats stuff has done a fantastic job of getting me and my stomach on track. Prayers are still continuing to go out to your family.
