The "what's this poop" thread brought this to mind.
Back in the 80s and early 90's, all of the pressrooms I worked in, part of being a pressman was fixing what broke yourself .... no maintenance department.
I never threw away a good size bearing ... cut them apart, keep the balls.
They make great wrist rocket ammo!
I got pretty good at hitting stray cat sized targets.
I even kept the precision barrel shaped balls ...... not as accurate, but they make a wicked sound as the spin toward the cat, er target.

I was pretty bummed. My duck was a cool dude. The next day I saw that stupid cat come across the backyard. Fukker was going to pay. I was an avid archer in college and my bow was never far away. You guys know what a muzzy 100 will do to a white cat? It makes a big red hole. I smoked that sucker from about 35yds. He never ate another duck.
