Anybody know a good shop that redoes radiators in Raleigh? Need to have it rodded out and new tanks put on. Got 160k on it and it's leaking through the upper tank.

IME, you'd rather buy a new radiator.

I spoke to a guy at..... some shop in Raleigh.... I think it was the one on Falls behind the Olds dealership inside the beltway..... anyway, the problem that you'll run into with one that's leaking at the tanks is that the core metal will be too damaged and corroded to seal well. They can put it back together and usually get it leak-free for a while, but it might only last a year before it starts again.

I got a brand-new 19x31" two-row aluminum Modine from NAPA for like $180. It should last another 10 yrs, no problem.

Thanks guys, I'm just trying to go cheap right now so I can drive the thing w/o it leaking. Any idea how much $$ I'm looking at to have it fixed?

Talk to Jason at Sapps. Great friendly service. Most casing you can buy a new one cheaper than trying to repair.

Performance Radiator in Garner @ the 70/401 split. They sell new radiators and I was happy with the price and quality of the unit I bought for my '86 4runner a few years back.
