Random pic thread.

I thought that is where it was. That area is nice. The grocery store had a growler fill station last time I was there.
That grocery store was converted into a bowling-billiards-game room-mini golf-bar-restaurant place a few years ago. Not a bad place to spend a couple hours during the day with the kids.

Also, if you have kids, there is the most awesome playground I’ve ever seen in that area. It’s called Savannah’s Playground.

This might be the most weight I've had in the bed of my truck. The internet says a yard of river rock weighs 2,600 lbs. This is two yards in the bed, so 5,200 lbs. This was the fifth trip. Luckily The stone place is only 10 minutes from my house. It's got my 2500 doing a little Carolina Squat.

What's a load cost?

If something happens to this sugar baby I will look like Clark Griswold in Christmas Vacation when he gets the Jelly of the Month subscription.

It’s the only one that has any promise.

I am going to amend this soil here in this garden to world class this winter.
People Don’t think making a garden in a new county be like it is, but it do….

Wife had three absolutely perfect looking melons in our fenced in garden a few seasons ago. She would check them daily and see if they were ready yet. A deer or multiple deer jumped the gate and used their hooves to bust open all three melons and eat the hearts. No more melons for us.

Myrtle Beach has that and 2 other aircraft on display at Market Commons, near the airport. If you aren’t familiar, Market Commons is kind of like Birkdale, but built on the old Air Force Base property. Pretty nice area.
Have you ridden the hulk down there? Fun trail for mtb’s at the beach.

Yes, it’s great, I’ve ridden the trails then jumped on the greenway and get some paved miles. There is also a mountain bike skills park across the highway from MB State Park. No trails, just a bunch of man-made obstacles.

My little bookworm.

$800 and 2 Saturdays and 2, 1/2 day Sundays, the boys playset it functionally complete. Missing a few cosmetic boards because I ran out, so they'll probably never get put on  I think I may add a 2x4 brace across the backside. The steps and slide stiffened it up front to back, but it will still move a little side to side. When the concrete sets up around the swing set posts, I'll reevaluate. Wife doesn't know it, but I made sure the swing set is high enough for comfortable deer cleaning...

I officially love a long bed truck now. Buried in that pile of 6 kayaks was also my 55qt Canyon cooler, two or three 20qt soft cooler, and at least a dozen rods.

That looks like the Gaggle of canoes I saw on the South Fork, McAdenville, today! It's gotten More popular now that they have put in more launch areas.
Yeah kayaking in general has gotten very popular everywhere. Never been on South Fork I don't think. Definitely want to though! But my group was on Saluda.

Looks like poplar , if that was a white oak holly shat
It is actually a cherry bark red oak, common but not common around here. They like river bottoms it seems, this one was 300-400 yds away from river. I have been collecting them hoping that if I ever build a house I will saw some flooring from them.

Picked up a big ol zero turn for my parents Friday evening, Ferris IS3200z, 35hp, 72" cut, 1500lbs. Put a new arch in the 1500lb rated ramps.

Then unloaded it, and apparently I ate too much breakfast Saturday morning...

Could have been a lot worse. No injuries to me or the mower.

It was a hot weekend but we got it done.
How long are you letting it dry with the heat we've been having? Farmer cut my spray field yesterday and I need him to get it up pretty soon. He didnt say how long he was going to let it dry this time though.

Had to class up the chipper this weekend.

Main reason was the cable was too crowded on the drum, but also safer, brighter, and easier on the hands. And if it happens to go into the blades, hopefully the hook falls off first

Same mower i have but a 61" deck, except i cant say I've ever strapped it down like a mook then folded the ramps unloading it. Proud of you. You know the bed tilts, right?

Thick field was cut wednesday after work, back field was thinner and cut thursday after work. Ted both friday mid day after the dew, raked saturday and let bake a few hours then baled. stacked sunday under shelter.

If i could have cut in the Am and ted about lunch could have cut off a little time. but with work i was happy with how fast it dried. They say humidity has more to do with dry time than temps. This time of year start to fight the dew more and more.

We just have a disc mower, neighbors with hay conditioner i have seen cut am first day, ted lunch, rake mid day 2nd day and bale in the afternoon. if the weather is right.

If the parking brake worked, maybe tilting the bed would have helped somehow
