Random pic thread.

Got to ride around Mt Holly last friday in this..... 1928 Ford Model A speedster. Original motor and a 5 speed GM transmission. No seatbelts, no windshield, no fenders. It gets down the road around 50 really good.

Got to spend a couple days at the beach by myself this week. Didn’t want to get bored, so took the kayak, mountain bike, and the road bike. Ended up spending my time in the kayak and on the road bike; didn’t even get on the mountain bike. But it was nice to get away and not have to worry about what everyone else wanted me to do.

Roadbike at the beach is fun. What beach has an A10?!?!?!

Dumbass grading company clears lot then buries all the stumps where someone is going to build a house. Sinkhole eventually forms
I thought you were new to the biz. How much did you have to pay to license their name? :flipoff2:

Well before the tat and without the hair you got some girly shins! LOL!

Mine are so scarred up I either wouldn't feel it or the ink would look horrible.

The tat is pretty dang sweet, doesn't look or come across as a popularity choice like many of the same genre.
Don't make fun of my girly shins. I can't help it that I've had an easy life. :p

Uh, backstory please.

It's was my mom best friends parents house. They had it built in the '90's. Her dad was just too tight. he said he was paying the guy by the hour to move the stumps he didn't want to pay for him to more to bury them off down in the holler. It never gave him any problems while he was alive but driveway was all busted up and sunken in now.

Moral of the story.....if your aging parents are building a house and you think you might live in it after they are gone.....make sure they don't try to save a couple hundred dollars somewhere that might cost you $25k later.

Buddy of mine is clearing land to build a house right now. He got a logger to clear most of it and plans to grind the stumps with his skid steer mulcher head. I begged him to not have the logger cut the trees where his house/yard and driveway are going. The pennies from those logs were too attractive to him and he let them cut it all. Dudes going to have a 3/4 mile long drive way full of sink holes in 5 yrs. Never mind a yard full of them. His only saving grace is that he's having a basement dug so those stumps will be dealt with.

If something happens to this sugar baby I will look like Clark Griswold in Christmas Vacation when he gets the Jelly of the Month subscription.

It’s the only one that has any promise.

I am going to amend this soil here in this garden to world class this winter.
People Don’t think making a garden in a new county be like it is, but it do….

Myrtle Beach has that and 2 other aircraft on display at Market Commons, near the airport. If you aren’t familiar, Market Commons is kind of like Birkdale, but built on the old Air Force Base property. Pretty nice area.
Growing up camping at the not so "dirty myrtle" then, I was a kid riding wheelies on the bmx and dreaming about flying one of those. Regularly they flew over the campground. I've always been facinated about flight. I absolutely hate being in a plane! It's most definitely a control thing because even not knowing crap about it I'd rather me be the pilot.

They still fly maneuvers there all the time. We go out on the beach at the State Park and sometimes it’s like an air show overhead.

I thought that is where it was. That area is nice. The grocery store had a growler fill station last time I was there.

It's been a lot of work, but at least I know there's gonna be zero stumps in my driveway and yard. There will be a sizable pile down in the woods for a good long while though.
