Good day.

Drug a load up the big hill on 321 yesterday to do a little work at the summer chateau. 25000lbs and barely had to shift out of 6th gear until the 35mph zone approaching Blowing Rock.

Finally put enough weight on it to make the big pig squat. 8 bags of gravel at 1100lbs each 👍

Decided it would be easier to just dump em and see if it could handle 4.5 tons biased to the front.

Worked better than expected! Used the thumb on the mini-ex to pick the bags up by the bottom and dump em out.

Turned out pretty good and gained about 3-4ft when it was all said and done.

Also, the leaves were looking awesome this weekend.

Killer weekend

Started with a trip to Lexington to the Army Navy store for some Carhartt...bc F Bezos, #supportlocal

Then we took the boys across the street to The Candy Factory bc my Grandmother used to take me in there and the sound of those wood floors creaking brings back some of my fondest memories. Let the knuckleheads pick out one treat each and then we all picked a glass bottle soda. I mean...if you don't like SunDrop, Cheerwine and RC in glass bottles you can just gtfo bc we can't be friends.

After that we took a short trek down the street to the BBQ Center for their massive banana split. The four of us had no chance!

Before:

After (note the size of the spoon relative to what's left and then compare that to the before pic):

Got up first thing Saturday and hit up our local diner (Wallburg Diner...bc it's friggin awesome, and again, #supportlocal). Then made our way up 52 to do white ppl stuff at Pilot Mtn.

Then stumbled across some folks that may have a slightly stoopider hobby than me. We sat and watched for about 10-15 minutes. I thought I had seriously stumbled across a new hobby until one dooder pipped up and said "would you guys like some granola? I made it myself". About that time I said to myself "welp, these ain't my ppl", turned to the fam and said "TIME TO GO"!

From there we high tailed it home to get ready for some Trick or Treating shenanigans. Will post more pics once I get them uploaded.

I KNEW that was coming. I actually thought about hitting enter elevendy times and say "Yes, I know...my wife IS hot :flipoff2: "

But yea, I talked with him for a good bit and he was telling me about that. He knew all the people at my wife's school as well as my Granddad (I always ask ppl that grew up around if they knew him from his dealership). Definitely seemed like one of those salt-of-the-earth kinda guys

My son's school was closed today, so we went for a ride. My mother, who is almost 82 yrs old, came with us today. I hope I can still ride if I make it to that age.
