Random pic thread.

I have it up (whew!)

I have it pretty tight, have a good bit more on the turnbuckle if I need it. I used a ratchet strap to pull it as much as possible and it took a couple of tries to get the length right.

Will try it out soon to see how it works. It is over a wash and drops about 5 or 6 feet in 100’ length and is maybe 15’ off the ground about midway.

Should make the little kids squeal 😄

This past Thursday my wife and I attended my final Military Ball. It is the Saint Barbara’s Ball. Named for the Patron Saint of the Field Artillery. We had a blast and took the opportunity to get a nice photo of us all dressed up in our fancy duds.

Yes, my wife is a Heathen.

This made me lol.

Some of you may recall... since it was only 27 days ago... I bought this truck:

Well, I just traded it in. For this:

The quad cab was KILLING ME with the kids complaining about how little room they had. So I took their college funds and taught them a lesson by buying a bigger, more expensive, and masculinity satisfying truck.

Went from a Bighorn to a Rebel. ;)

Great color! :)

How'd you make out on the trade-in? I just picked up this 2017 and asked the finance guy what I'd get if I brought it back in a month. He said "less"...

So far (about 6 hrs in) I'm lovin' it but have spent at least an hour reading the owner's manual. Never seen so much tech in a truck. But then my "newest" vehicle was a '96!

If you decide to sell it next month let me know. It's my color.

My parents keep saying how much more they like their grandkids than their actual children.

As a grandparent I can echo this wholeheartedly!

I love my Rebel. Great choice! When / if the bug hits you Vice Designs makes a great hidden winch mount. I've got a Warn 10S tucked in mine.

Watch out, Blind man welding again! Needed more Tractive effort on Mini John. Had a chunk of RR track, I haven't used in years. It made a Nice weight. Combined with the welded on hitch plate, 75 pounds. Before I finished the yard work, I added the rear wheel weights, of 45 pounds. It all helps, but my thread is not what it once was. Original 32 year old rear tires.

I like the house in the background.
It's of the same 1890 era of the house I live in. A sibling. Cooler story, A out building is a minature museum, also featured on the Carolina Road show. It has the old doctors equipment in it and other little models and artifacts in it. The biggest piece is the doctors work chair....aka dentist.
