Random pic thread.

Y'all keep buying stuff from Canvas Prints so I can keep shipping lumber to them :D

My kids spent like 20 minutes climbing around it and trying to figure out how to drive it while I froze in the wind Tuesday morning.

Hand them an IPad and teach them how to program GPS coordinates and analyze data. That’s essentially how that machine operates now with their AFS Connect system. It still needs an operator but that person becomes more of a passenger each year. JD is working on completely autonomous tractors as we speak. A couple are being tested in eastern NC or are slated to be tested in the future.

Ordered 7 pieces of 3’ roll cage padding (no other parts in box) from Summit Racing. Guess they didn’t want the foam padding to get damaged so they added a crap load of airbag shipping padding?!?! Wonder about the shipping dude or dudette.

Just got a box almost exactly like that from Summit last week, 8 Noodle Pads and a bunch of air pillows... Gotta keep the pads form getting crushed I guess ;)

No no no you got it wrong.
That foam padding is in there to protect the airbags.

Great day today while on Fall Break

Took our 7 yr old to Bald Head Island. I haven’t been there since I was 11 or so. Went up into the lighthouse, toured the island on a golf cart, took in some rays while eating lunch at Julie’s, and some time in the empty beaches there.
Then an evening fire pit watching the Sun go to sleep back home at Sunset Beach

Life is good

Best part about pulling 60-70 hours a week out on the road as a welder/ironworker is kicking back in a motel bed and spending $$ on cool shit to use on the next trip out. Backseat full of new goodies and another $1500+ in welding hood and power tools on the way. Sorry, Jeep.

I was wondering today where you had gone

For those that don't have an orange star....well, all they get to know is that I was gone 52 days, and the Winnebago now has 6002 more miles than it did on August 31.

Please tell me it is not electric so I don't have to hate it? Aside from the maker I dig the crap out of that vehicle. Is it the new Blazer or something?
Looks like whatever motor you order the Silverado with. Looks like they have builds open for next year...

Great weekend up at my folks’ cabin. If you’ve been up Hwy 181, you’ve seen this:

Then when you pull off the main road to get to the cabin, we have this view at about 4200’; it was awesome at night, to the left you could see lights from Blowing Rock, to the right Lenoir. Too bad my phone is so old and doesn’t take good night pics.

My brother met me up there so we could get some yard work done, spreading mulch and taking down two dead trees. After the work was done, some fun with lead and brass was had.

The next day, the wife and I took the kids hiking at Linville Falls, along with 2000 other people. Damn it was crowded.

This morning I got up, made coffee, and enjoyed a beautiful sunrise on the back deck while everyone else was still in bed.
