Random pic thread.

You can search about orange rainex harming the tank sensors and the dash ligh comes on for newer cars that have that type of sensor. The silicone that is so helpful to help the window bead up water also coats the sensor contacts in the tanks. I had to help @tlucier clean his tank after perennially using the Rainex. Here is just one article, there are many. Great product but buggers up things a bit. More of a nuisance really than a problem. Older car, not an issue.

If your vehicle has a sensor to tell you when your windshield washer fluid gets low, that shit will form a film on the sensor in the reservoir tank and constantly turn the light on to show low fluid level. Pain in the ass. Run the normal stuff in the tank.

That would explain why my wife's 15 impala keeps saying low fluid even after I added a gallon of the orange shit lol oh well

Never heard of it either but I've used that stuff in everything I own for years and never had an issue with it.

Ive saw people say "no codes" in peoples description but hadn't got that before.Ive had three scammers send me the "code" since Fri.How does that even work??? I keep sending the six random #'s until they get mad and quit replying.
The scammer says it's to verify you for their protection. What the code is , it's a Google voice code to establish you requested the code for a Google voice number. You send them the code you got (which Google says in the text not to give it to anybody) and they use it to create a number in your name so they can go about scamming others. I did the 6 random numbers to a couple, they got pissed and finally left me alone. Another guy really tried to get me to send him the one I got from his scam, sounded really sincere and actually had good English and his text came from an NC exchange. Insisted he needed to verify me. Then after I told him he could either verify me here on NC 4X4 or we meet at the Rockingham County Sheriffs office, he told me to stop wasting his time and he went away.

Fawk Rainex wiper fluid. I put that in one of my cars and it left streaks all over the windshield. Back to the cheap parts store stuff for me.

Same experience here. I love Rain-X, but the washer fluid has done more harm than good for me.
