Ha! I drive that a lot for work and always thought that would be an easy intersection to run out of skill on. I've bounced heavy dump trailers off the side of that bomb cratered excuse of a road more than a few times.

Someone "missed" the curve, out in Millionaire land. Probably wood is safer & easier to replace, than the Huge Brick walls, most of the Mansions have.

That corner is terrible, happens once a year or more

A nice lady in Tramway had a bunch of wood left in her yard after the tree cutting company left what they could not take.....

My brother and I took it away today. We rolled the big coins on a trailer and the rest in my truck. Its green but it will good next year.

Yes, it's a Real Stupid road & intersection. Probably too simple for DOT, to level out the intersection, & make Waxhaw-Marvin Rd., the straight through road. Put the Stop sign on Bonds rd. 85-90 % of drivers, Stay on Waxhaw-Marvin!

I'm convinced there's some twat at the DOT that get his jollies on maintaining that control. Two that quickly come to mind are 27 @ Mt Holly Huntersville Road (used to go straight through, never should have been reworked, has been a traffic jam ever since), and then the light at 27 and 273, which is always green for 273, but always backed up on 27.
