Random pic thread.

I was leaving the Circle K and saw an old man parked in the handicap parking having trouble to get out of his truck and getting his crutches. He had one leg and the other was gone from above his knee. I held the door for him but he said I he was good. I held the door for him about a minute till he got to the door and he shook my hand thanked me. When I walked by his truck I saw the stickers on his rig and I'm thinking somebody crashed into hit him and he lost his leg.

I was sitting around our fire pit Sunday afternoon and one of those bastards jumped right up on the back of my calf. It scared the shit out of me.
My 4y/o jumped on the rope swing and swung for a minute, then when he hopped off that poor fella was still sittin there :( Fortunately it was a good learning opportunity to explain how amphibians don't have bones, and then he hopped away :D

So much has changed since 4th grade 50 years ago. First Pluto isn't a planet, now amphibians don't have bones?

My 4y/o doesn't need to know that ;) He already felt bad enough about squishing the piss outta that fella!

I bought this for the first time, on sale on Sunday and grilled some T bones that night.

I half filled the charcoal starter, primed w twigs and started them w my propane torch. Stood around drinking a beer, I went in the house and came back out a few/4 minutes and found this ....

it was like a rocket roaring and popping sparks everywhere and I had to back away cause they were hitting me, it did this for about 10 mins. then it calmed down. I'm gonna take it back to the HD and show them the pics when I return the bag.... or maybe jeepinmatt would like them :smokin:

That’s the best way to grill, I switched from normal briquettes to lump hardwood a long time ago

Had some hauling from a Farm today, mostly horse farm. Couldn't help but see a 47 Ford truck, kind of half buried under a lean-to. Owner has an interesting story on this, & he wanted to do something with it, but hasn't. He would sell, If an offer excites him. He wouldn't discuss a price. Pretty crafty old farm guy. Former owner installed I believe he told me, a 53 model ford V8 flathead. The bed has been changed, & who knows Why a 1 ton rear diff installed. Last inspection sticker was in 2005, but it was driven several more years on a 40 acre farm. My last load, parked be beside another storage building, where a Ford 8N [I assume] sits. I didn't get to ask about it, but I do have the guys name & number. Oakdale area of Charlotte.

I think thats a Massey, not a ford.

@rodney eppes If he would post a pics of that truck and especially that door with the lettering he would sell that truck. A little more info and pics would do him great. BUT he's not going to get $10k for it. As it sits I'd figure $3500+/-. A title is a plus and the motor needs to be free.
He mentioned that Original door lettering, & how the Rat Rod guys would drive it as is! It's not visible from the road, but he's had some inquire about it. If anyone offered anything, he didn't tell me. He intended to keep it & get it back running again, But, he knows he'll never get to it. But he's not pushing to sell it either. He got it from a close friend, after the friends father passed. That was the Fathers work truck. Probably one of the grandkids will end up with it.

While were on Tractors, anyone need a later model Ford; with attachments? I haven't stopped for a price or phone number. It's not on a Main street, & it's been there a while. Iron Station, NC.
