Free at the dump. Just add some mix gas and it fires right up. Been wanting a cheap one to blow out the garage and driveway. Free works for me.

Any idea what's going on in that picture?

EDIT: This is the 15,000-ton press in the Krupp AG factory in Essen. This influenced the 50,000 ton Alcoa press in Cleveland, Ohio. That press was built in the 1950s for the US Air Force, and was used to press aluminium and titanium aircraft components. At the time of its completion it was the most powerful press in the world. It has remained in use since then, but in the 2000s cracks were found. A $100 million repair job was carried out, bringing the machine back online in 2012.

THIS WAS ON FACEBOOK: WW2 era equipment in a German plant, taken to Russia and supposedly rebuilt an in use today. Press forming, can't tell if its hot forging old cold. Probably cant find the little article again on Facespace.

Made a run to a few of the Carrol County Co Op’s this morning and dodged storms all afternoon but it’s going be nice to have a proper way to work cows at the house. We always just used an alley in the old feed barn and it was a shitshow every time.

Benefit of living close to Pinehurst...people don't know how to maintain small engines or care to learn! Used to work with a guy that lived just outside of Ballantyne that would pick up weed eaters, push mowers & blowers for cheap & flip them after a quick cleaning of the carb! He always said if they couldn't get them to start after 1-2 pulls they'd list them on CL and they were only a couple of years old.

Made a small mint this way in college when I worked for Lowe’s. We used to get to buy stuff at 10c on the dollar. I would buy just about every returned mower, saw, blower etc and put them back on CL. Most were overfilled with oil and/or had bad fuel.

Was up around Henderson and had some time to kill. Went riding around to some of the places we used to hang out and camp at the lake. Used to stop in at this old store to get a coke. Not far from Henderson Point. Remarked to the old black guy running it one day, about how the floor boards were so worn down in front of the register. He said that was the "liar's hole". Customers would stand there, say they'd be in to pay their tab on Friday, but they'd be shuffling their feet cause they're lying their asses off. Wearing down the floorboards.

Taught daughter how to use a pressure washer today. Turns out she enjoys it. Good news for me!

Side note, been using this HF Portland 1750 PSI unit for a few chores now. Its a great deal for what it is; being 110v and $100 it's great for small jobs, AL siding (up close), washing cars, engine bays etc. But cement and things needing real pressure for anything more than a laser point is very time consuming.
