Took the drone out Sunday to the local park and tried my hand at some shots. Turned out alright, really need to smooth out movements though. Mavic Mini for anyone curious.
Well, apparently the video was too large to upload.
Apparently it was a trainee that did it on his first day, trainee was sitting in the passenger seat during todays pickup lol. It’s hard to tell but the truck is close to flipping, driver rears weren’t touching the ground.
Been there, truck was on the way in. And when I went I was pulling a 34’ GN stock trailer with absolutely no issue navigating the drive way.
Btw ( @CarolinaHD) William Wallace is a proud dad of a bull calf) that’s our cow Velma and, yes she has a piece of straw attached to her hootus via afterbirth that I have been unsuccessful at removing)) mom and baby are doing fine!
I don't know if he was coming or going... but I'm pretty sure he wasn't traveling backwards.
Usually the best way out of a stuck is the inverse of what got you there.
Letter to E. W. Renfow in Matthews NC during war time . Pretty cool. And some accompanying text after. This from a newsletter that Renfrow Hardware sends out each month.
While sorting through a few old boxes last week, David came across this 1942 war-time letter addressed to Eugene McDowell 'Dow' Renfrow. Dow was the son of Thomas Jefferson Renfrow, who started the hardware store at the turn of the century. The letter notifies Dow of his responsibility to serve on the County Farm Transportation Committee and certify farm truck operations. This committee was created to ensure that farmers were in compliance with rationing efforts on tires and fuel put in place by the Mecklenburg County USDA War Board. Renfrow's would have been a central location for most of the farmers in this area and so it makes sense that Dow would have been given this role. Matthews was waaaay out in the country in those days.
Many farmers did not have vehicles in 1942 and those who did still likely had equestrian resources to enable them to perform their work. It is interesting to periodically think about how much technology has transformed daily life and work since WWII.
Do you deliver to Harlan, Ky.? When she gets the house picked you i can send you the material list for pricing.
My daughter is going to build a home here in Harlan this spring we are getting the house seat ready right now to see how big of house she can build the lot right now. It is 110 ft wide and 400 ft long that will be level. I think the house is going to be around 2800 square feet she has several different house plans picked out to see winch would work better on the lot. We have about 7 more days of dirt moving left to get the lot to size. I had to buy a john deere 200lc excavator and a ford L9000 dump truck just to move the dirt my 550 ford dump truck and my cat 304 excavator wasn't up to the task.
Trying to wire tuck and hide everything in this c10 I’m doing and be able to access easily. So much room but not enough space when you wanna have ac lol
This is at the Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh, PA. It’s a great place to visit if you’re ever in the area. The plaque in front of it has some good information about those jeeps.
