What's odd, Duke, Prius, and Kimberly? Seems reasonable for those people to me.

KIMBER not Kimberly. KIMBER is a firearms company
Yes Kimber
I think of liberals when I see a prius and right wing for gun owners.
What would you think of a Bernie sticker on an F350?

Been seeing this & got some pics today. And a Surprise! I Would have assumed a 6 cylinder. Btw, anyone Old enough to know about a GYRO-Matic? I've seen 1, but Never drove or rode in one. I Goggled more info, & found You Tube on it. Here is a video, Most will get a KICK out of! Beware of the Language!
51 Dodge-Coronet-Gyromatic-Transmission-Road Test #1 Couldn't find the usual YT listing, & if you watch it, the video doesn't Stop when it looks messed up. Play it till the End!

What a big motor for such a little carb. So did you bring it home Rodney?

241 CID doesn't need a lot of carb,

Dodge Coronet cars, 1949-75

"The engine continued unchanged through 1953, when the Coronet gained an optional 241 cubic inch V-8 engine, the first of the Hemis, producing 140 gross horsepower at 4,400 rpm with a two-barrel Stromberg carburetor. The Hemi-powered Coronet set over one hundred land speed records at the Bonneville Salt Flats."

That's universally true...not sure why so many folks think bigger is better when it comes to carbs (and cams for that matter). I cringe every time I see someone so proud they just put a 750cfm carb on top of their fresh rebuild, that really wouldn't require more than 600cfm.

Perhaps the last day this year it'll be a warm enough air/water temp to go swimming. Atleast it was a beautiful spot and right here in downtown Columbia. Never even thought about checking this one out before.

I see someone else has my sense of humor:

View attachment 254594 This rig was hauling concrete blocks, & made more than 1 trip! Two blocks per load. My estimate, about 15K a piece. Last time I saw [& Did] anything like that, was when Westinghouse was installing a new lathe! This guy was in the Trane, area, but I doubt they have any 6' thick floors!

I was on the crew that wire sawed those blocks out of Westinghouse. That was some of the thickest concrete I had ever seen and I was amazed that it came out like it did.

Hognose the dogs found today. They are rare in our area. He spread out and rose like a cobra and would strike. But then play dead lol. Defense mechanism. Also they are Non poisonous.
I found one here in Davidson County a couple years ago while dove hunting, I stopped to check it out and it curled up and played dead. I thought I gave it a heart attack and killed it until I googled exactly what it was. Continued my walk and he was long gone when I got back.
