Trying to "learn" sheetcam the easy way.

Nesting software typically is pretty straight forward. The main thing to look out for, (especially for thicker materials) is the length of a lead-in or lead-out before and after the part. You can change your defaults to make them longer so the pierce doesn't leave a nick in the part, if it's a cut edge you want to remain smooth. Only drawback is potentially wasting more material, but you can re-nest the parts to eliminate some of that. Also, you can turn out some pretty nice holes if you have your travel speed and arc height tuned right (not to mention lead-in as well). I've comfortably made through-hole cuts for bolts in materials up to 1/2" without having to make a second shop operation for a punch/drill by having clean holes turn out on the plasma.

This morning around 11 in Norfolk Va.That place was a ice rink last night around 9

Woof! Doesn't matter what you do, ice is a huge bitch...I don't mind snow, but ice (in larger amounts) can get me a little skittish...no pun intended...

I just came side from hand splitting a truck load of firewood in a t shirt and vest. 9 degrees. Without a hat and gloves it would have been miserable but in fact it was rather nice. You pansies need to toughen up:flipoff2:View attachment 260628

I understand this completely. Splitting wood I prefer to be in a long sleeve t shirt and jeans. Any more and I start sweating lol

I was pressure washing the Jeep in 14 degree temps saturday. You ain't tough until ice is forming around your body :flipoff2:

(this would make my ex-wife shoe leather)

Dispatched to a fire alarm. The fire alarm was definitely going off when we got there. I took these between fetching tools and pulling levers lol.

The vinyl siding looks like one of those "rip away" graphics that people airbrush on their cars with claws ripping through the sheet metal or whatever.

Thats pretty tough.

Since I got new wheels, I had to hand wash and dry my truck saturday morning. The washing part was ok, since I had a bucket of warmish water. The drying part was teh sux. Got the front dried, then had to spray the tonneau and bedsides with hot water to melt the ice off, and dry it really fast before it refroze. I have a couple of inexplicable splits in my fingers now that are probably related to wringing out a 20 degree wet chamois cloth like a dumbass. But that's just how you make em tougher, right?

All the crap I do to my truck I overlooked my air filter the last 3 oil changes. Well today it sucked itself shut.......

I saw this on the way into work this morning.

The question is... Are the straps holding the bumper up, or the tailgate down?

That cement mixer over the top of the cab of the pickup truck freaked me out at first. Looked like some sort of yellow Michelin man going for a ride on the hood.

My guess is to keep the license plate on. No such thing as overkill when redneck engineering....
