Trying to "learn" sheetcam the easy way.
Nesting software typically is pretty straight forward. The main thing to look out for, (especially for thicker materials) is the length of a lead-in or lead-out before and after the part. You can change your defaults to make them longer so the pierce doesn't leave a nick in the part, if it's a cut edge you want to remain smooth. Only drawback is potentially wasting more material, but you can re-nest the parts to eliminate some of that. Also, you can turn out some pretty nice holes if you have your travel speed and arc height tuned right (not to mention lead-in as well). I've comfortably made through-hole cuts for bolts in materials up to 1/2" without having to make a second shop operation for a punch/drill by having clean holes turn out on the plasma.

Woof! Doesn't matter what you do, ice is a huge bitch...I don't mind snow, but ice (in larger amounts) can get me a little skittish...no pun intended...
