Random pic thread.

Nice work. I'd be thinking up all kinds of projects if I had barn wood like that.

Thanks.......yea i got a few ideas floating around for some bigger projects. My little boy wants a tree house and i dont want to buy lumber so he probably gonna get a high dollar reclaimed oak board and batten siding job

There’s an auto shop down here in MHC that always has old CJs and what not out front. Today they had something a little different. Never thought I’d see a Troopy in person!

Started demo on the new crib today. Removed the kitchen and bathroom cabinets and sinks. Fixtures, rails, etc off the walls. Watched a really good tree dude drop a 110' maple right where he said it would.
GC starts Monday, Fence guy Tuesday and painter on Wednesday.

I'll wheel again one day

Agree with that. You also have to be careful with some of the bags, as they can contain pesticides and other things in them.

Hahaha You ever go to a municipal mulch yard? I have worked on three different ones and some pesticides and "other things" would be a relief over their bulk. We use bag mulch now also and we scooped up 25 of the $2 bags last week to do our walkway and flower bed. I like the fact that if it doesn't get put out it stores in the shed really well and how clean/evenly ground that it is.

Took a quick trip to a local junkyard today for a few misc items. On the way out I saw a few boxes of sockets sitting around marked $.50 each.
"Well, how much for the whole lot?" I asked the manager; "how about $40?"
The hispanic manager replies back, "No....how about $20?"

I now own a lot more sockets. This little score made this weekend even cooler! There's stuff in here I've never seen before.

Man, that is a helluva score.
Our local Crazy Ray's Pick 'n Pull has 2 coffee cans. One with Craftsman, other with "other" sockets. I think they are $2 and $.50. Occasionally in the "other" you'll find a Snap On, Mac, etc.

I'm a bit surprised you got them up! Amazing how difficult pulling up a bush. But I found how easy it was to lift them straight up, back when I had a wrecker! I've also used a high-lift, & used my Jeep winch, as a straight up lift.

I bet they ain't one of those mysterious disappearing 10mm in there. Lol

What's the deal with 10mm's? I never lose them. Then again I just don't lose tools that much. My weakness is breaking 3/8" drive 3/16" Allen/hex bit. I swear they intentionally use weaker metal for that size.

Really wasnt too hard. I made a slip knot on the strap so it would cinch down, after getting it tight one or two hard snatches was all it took. Didnt even tear up the grass.

Husband worked wreckers in south Fl. one office ladys son would take the change out of the cars as well as fuses. By the time he was in the teens he had 5 digit bank account, for just a little work. Not counting the other stuff he found, drugs, guns, bedroom toys.

There's everything from 4mm 1/4 drive to anti-theft inverted Allen to 15/16 1/2 drive and everything in between. Even a few in the x/64 variety.

Ever had a dirtbike? Streetbike?
Quite a few of each. Only have 4 sitting in the garage these days. As well as dem dam foreign cars. But I also have a toolbox where the sockets are organized, and I notice if one is not there, and go find it.
