There's a few thousand of them on Lake Norman. Your lone bird must be lost.

We actually had them in Colorado too; they really liked the Walmart parking lot for some reason. Probably because of all the trash there. Colorado is definitely further inland than Asheboro.

Love the smell of 2-cycle running before dawn! This one was across the street in our neighborhood this morning.

Hard to tell from the mess, but large pine snapped at the base and took out half of my ~30 ft magnolia.
