Random Thoughts.....

I got my youngest son this set a couple years ago. Been a really good start. And I personally think its a better value than Hobo Freight based on the actual tools you get vs bits and whatnots. Then supplement it with some larger wrenches from @jeepinmatt and be all set!
Craftsman Tools
wow that set is a really good deal, And IMO... the molded plastic case is a very nice-have. Makes it so much easier to keep up with what is missing, what socket goes where etc. And for somebody that doesn't have a dedicated "tool space" just closing the kit and slipping it into a drawer, under a bed or whatever is so convenient.

My neighbors must think im crazy or bipolar or something. We (so me while the wife looks pretty and provides motivation) are fencing in the back of the property and I decided some tunes were needed. I powered up my big hilti speaker and let er rip on Spotify. Blasting everything from confederate railroad and Alan Jackson to Eminem, shinedown and Ozzy at ear splitting levels to be heard over the auger.

That’s the one I was looking at actually. Basically the same set I started with when I was 20, and still have the same set.. minus the 10mm of course.

Having boarded a plane, wrangling 18 students to fly home and getting cancelled due to mechanical issues is bad.
Starting at 2:30 am after walking tours of 20k steps is worse.
Getting the run around til noon is much worse.

Getting rebooked for an extra night in Spain, on the Mediterranean sea in a Five Star facility on the tours/air service dime...........not so bad!

Could be worse!

I remember you telling me about this trip when we met to exchange doll hairs for tools. Bet it was amazing.

That may have been Italy. This one has had major hiccups. Spain.

Another random.......these fawkers still haven't figured out how to get our group home without splitting under age travelers off by themselves with multiple connections including a overnight in foreign lands.

Having visited this part of Spain I completely understand why life there is a little slower.

Amsterdam land. 1:56...board next flight last call 2:45. Bus off plane, Customs was a wreck. Flashed a ticket to a nice fellow. We cut line, picture scan and ran. .........All the way across to the very last gate. Pouring sweat, loaded another bus.
Yeeeeehaw!

Glad it was a couple you Hispanic soccer players in my group.

About 6 hours sleep in 84 hours if I don't sleep this flight I may need an IV of caffeine.

JFK better not suck.

JFK much better. Actually can eat something and shit on a real toilet

Edit our journey started 1:30 Am Spain time to get a taxi...6 taxis at one time.
It is almost 8 pm out time and we got a leg to Charlotte and drive to Mocksvegas....ocean made us gain 6 hours. Man its been a few hours.
Worst part is that beautiful day and early start reset netted 3.5 hour sleep before that went south and about 3.5 hour the next night because we had to get a plan and booking.

I think I may sleep to Sunday.

I was venting to my son tonight about some of the BS "fixes" in the wiring in Sweenz and how they are holding me back from getting it roadworthy and he says "Nothing is as permanent as a temporary solution" and MAN is he right! I've never heard that one before. It even took a minute to sink in but it's right for sure!
I say it around my robotics team I coach all the time. Once they find a quick fix "We'll do it this crappy way now and go back and do it the right way later"... until the crappy way fails it will never be changed.

I’ve heard it somewhere…
there's nothing more permanent than a temporary solution.

While I agree completely, let's not forget the old addage that ALL of us have lived and experienced... and likely have examples of on our own vehicles and homes...

"There's nothing more permanent than a temporary solution that works."

I don't think anyone disagrees with this, and lots of people internally have been begging for it for a long time.
I'll repeate the phrase - "there's nothing more permanent than a temporary solution that works."

I told this to my divorce lawyer when we were negotiating the temporary separation agreement. It’s funny how temporary solutions have a way of becoming permanent.

There is no such thing as paid vacation, just a quantification of how many days they allow you leave per year.
disagree, they let you leave on saturday and sunday but you don't get paid for that
