rear engine rear steer truggy

i am going to still run some kind of pinion brake setup. you can flip the third member over, then you have to fip the axles shalfs also. the only thing with that is the shalfs are not the same length. so you have to cut one of and spinn it about 3/4inch, and the other will have about an inch of play. also it won't be high pinion. if you decide against these axles let me know, i might need some spare parts.

I am probally gonna go ahead and get the axles, it is a front and rear, comes with a divorced transfer case, which I could run front mounted motor if I used the case, also depends on the case I heard that some of the cases were air actuated, and some were mechanical linkage, not sure which one it is yet, also comes with front and rear drive shafts, and a set of 26" rims and tractor tires

these were going under a mud truck

Tim, Looking awesome man. It will be cool to see the improvements from your last rig (not taking anything away from it but we all gain experience).

Can these axles be narrowed? A friend is wanting to keep his buggy alot narrower than 100" outside of tires (maybe 80-90"), and I have access to a set of these axles.
What does a set of them normally go for? (one front and 2 rears)

you can't flip the hubs on these, i spouse if you had another short side you could narrow it some.

i've seen anywhere a $1000 to $400 it all depends on the person. let me know if you use them i might be interested in them

don't have another short side (well, I do for the rear one-if it's not centered). Wonder if anyone can make custom shafts for them and if so how much it would cost. You say yours is 100" wide, how much narrower could you get it W/O narrowing the axles? (different wheel backspacing, etc). He'd probably be running ~42" tires.

i could probably get mine to 85-90 with differant back spacing.

brakes

i guess you would call them a drive shaft brake.

Oversons can make custom shafts for these
