A friend of a friend bought a boat so wants to sell his TJ. It is a 98 4.0 with 130k miles. Optima battery, Aussie locker in the rear (not sure if it is still the D35 or not), 10000 lb winch, 35x12.5 Micky Thompson Baja claw, 4.0 engine has new water pump, oil pump and t-stat.

So what is a fair price?

Is that bedliner on the body? If so, I'd say it's worth about $500. More if you can part it out.

Unfortunately I think it is bedliner

From the looks of the t/c drop if say $4500.

But I'm a cheap bastard

to the OP, if your looking for similar TJ, a customer is looking to sell his. Installed new complete 3.5" RC lift kit few months ago, fairly new 33s, D44 factory rear LS, sport model, really clean condition and I believe price is around what I've heard mentioned here. If you'd like, I can give you his number. It's hardly ever seen the trails as he's a high school kid who mostly drives it to school/work/sports. Mechanically been maintained. It's a Auto too. Just trying to help.

His is 4.0L, I installed adjustable track bar front and rear also with the new lift kit. has full size new spare, and I believe the mileage is under 100k (i wanna say in the 80K) and its a 2004

That is both timely and relevant to the thread.

Also, never buy a vehicle that has been to Boone in the wintertime. Ever.
"no rust" means something completely different up there.

Bedliner on the body = FAIL

Bedliner belongs in pickup beds only.

Echo everything already said.

Rockers covered, back corners covered, AND bedliner? Yeah there's significant rust being hidden there. If you could separate the filth from rust underneath I'd almost bet the frame is a mere glimpse of it's former self

Plus

From the looks of the t/c drop if say $4500.
