Recycling.. using wash machine for fire pit

saw a few of these out at KOH so had to make one for myself.

tore the wash machine apart and used the drum. cut off the weighted top ring, welded some legs to the bottom, welded some rolled expanded metal to inside bottom and then a flat plate on top of that.. so air can come in from the bottom to help keep the fire going..

First fire lasted 2 hrs without me touching it and it even started to drizzle on it.. not bad for a small little fire..

next is to plasma some cool words around the sides :)

Nice! I used one submerged in the lake where my cabin is back in MN to keep fish we caught, until we're ready to filet them. We'd set them just above the water line next to the dock; worked like a charm!

I might steal this idea.

Last fall we had that thing glowing red & its still going strong... much better then a metal drum IMO

you should see my front yard :)

I usually just keep the weeds cut short so my yard looks green all year long :) I will not spend money on grass, it is like pissing in the wind :)
