Required capability for NC trails

Lots of good stuff in this thread. My TJ was the most fun on 2" spacers, flat skid, 32s, and a rear lockright.

4.56 and 35s is perfect with a manual. 4.10s and 33s is good. With an auto, the overdrive ratio is different, so you can get away with lower gears.

My signature is on the registration.

haha... and you think that means it's yours?

How long you been married again? you should know better by now.

My build would probably happen over time (two years or so). Looks like all the Rubis are about 17k at the low end.

I found And test drove a Rubi for 14,900 with around 100k miles when I was looking. The way prices are now, and with what all I've done to mine, I probably should have bought it. But it was a manual and the underside was beat

what Snappy said, or,....block of wood under skinny pedal

Paul, well,.................have to consider the source :fuck-you:

What would you guys pay for a 2005 Unlimited Rubi with 182000 miles...assuming rust is not an issue?

Edit: It also has 2" spacers that I would want to remove. Is this difficult to do yourself?

$8500. That is book.

If everything else is in good shape and you save yourself some money id buy it. You can pick up a used motor for around 500 and it could be changed in a weekend or drop it off and get a stroker built for it

I ask because it depends on which appraisal site you use. Edmunds says 5,900...KBB says approx 8,000 and Nada says between 10 and 13k. All over the place

Interesting. That's a huge swing. Did you plug in the same mileage for all three?

That's a lot of miles. Factor in an engine and trans rebuild or replace soon if it hasn't already been done. What are they asking?

To remove the spacers you should just be able to unbolt the shocks and sway bar to drop it far enough to pull the springs and spacers.

Asking 7,500. Has hardtop. Said a couple tires need replaced and is going to do that before the sell. I'll just tell him to knock that off the price instead.

If it's in decent shape and the major things work (lockers, etc.) I'd jump on that.

False alarm. Checked the vin and it's not a rubicon. Has a rubicon sticker though. Shady stuff on Craigslist.

Although, now I am looking at a real 06 rubicon with 160k. When I first started looking I was afraid of anything over 85k. This one is definitely a rubicon and in excellent condition. Located in Houston and the undercarriage/frame looks great...no rust.
