Still not entirely sure on validity, but saw Interco 'filed paperwork' (whatever that means) for the new name back in September. Also seeing softer compound than the originals...and limited sizes with a 35" tall and 17" rim probably being the first. If there's any truth to this, I'm sure there will be some happy hillbilly brodozers out there...

I don't remember the exact story but somebody had a new or near new set for sale (NOS maybe) and somebody posted that interco had bought the rights to the tires and was looking to redo/make the molds w good tires to go by or something along those lines.

Yeah...I kinda half remember a story from pirate from years ago, that Interco bought the rights to the tires but there was a customs issue or something...but I wanna say that was early 2000's.

Yeah you can find some trucks that were built in the 80's that still have em.I remember when I got in to 4wd's the guy down the road had a set 38.5's and I thought they were HUGE.

No way dude,it couldn't have been that long ago, that would mean I'm gettin old and losing track of time.:shaking: Yeah seems like I remember something about customs too,the molds were tied up in customs or something??

Softer is relative. I'm pretty sure the originals were made out of iron. I had a set of 40's for a while under a CJ5. I pulled the valve cores out of the rears, jacked it up, reinstalled the cores and that was the air pressure I ran in the rear. Still the stiffest tires I've ever had. No wear whatsoever the entire time I had them on it.

Comments are getting pretty heated...80's bruncledaddies vs 22" loving brodozers

Interco Tire Corporation
I can see both sides of it. But realistically they are probably making the first ones in their most popular sizes then will feel out the market for others. I say they will probably have a 16 or 17 but probably not a 15. Really if you can't drop 4-500 for new wheels your probably not gonna be able to afford a new set of 44s anyways

B...b...but...nostalgia. Bring back the good ol days of stacked frames, ellebenty shocks and the alternative for rigs that didn't have enough power to spin boggers. But I'm 100% with you, hence the reason I think it's going to become an exclusive bro tire...albeit a failed attempt. The market that will buy them, don't understand the Hawg hype...and the market that understands the hype, won't buy those sizes.

Even a 15" 40+ tire im gonna guess a set will be 2000 + easy. Most of the guys that are still running those tires won't spend the money for them. Not when there is still some dry rotted ones on Craigslist for 300

Yep, the guys who want em for 15" wheels want em for $150/each, and won't pay $400/tire or whatever they end up being. The maller ballers with the 18/20/22" wheels will spend stupid money on stupid stuff, so its a perfect fit.

I agree but at the same time if they don't have to buy new wheels they'll have 4-500 more to put towards a new set of tires.

1980's tires @ 1980's prices.

Wow! Back in the Day, I ran through 3 sets. I think 33x15 was the largest they had, & No radial. They Worked, Off-road. SANG on-road, & dang near Couldn't be balanced! And Yes, you Better slow down on wet roads! Time I used up 3 sets, Radial MT were coming out, & I been riding Smooth, ever since.
