It's all spec'ed out in this class. Attached the chassis prints and rule book.

Planning on running the whole series? Plans for other short course stuff? I have no idea if the classes carry over though. I'm excited to see this build

Definitely not the Nevada race. Might shoot for the Kansas race. Definitely in Ohio though.

Not sure I understand your question about classes...?

The classes similar with the stadium super truck series that Robby Gordon is putting together?

Thanks for posting the specs and rules, I was curious what the specs and limitations were on the ProLite's. You should have a blast out there, it looks like a great time. Did you ever get to drive the Lovell's to get a feel for it in advance?
Are you going to build the IFS parts or are they readily available for purchase?

Man you didn't take any time off! Looking forward to pics!

I drove Brad's around the parking lot once at about 10 mph. Don't think that counts.

The IFS parts aren't real complicated. People seem to make them complicated when they build them out of plate and stuff though. I'm just going to make mine out of good ol' round tube.

These trucks are alot easier to build than Ultra4 rigs. Most of the figuring is already done for you. Just have to be able to make a jungle gym around your head. I'm further along than those pics show. I'll get some updated pics tonight. It's definitely coming together alot faster than a rock racer.

i was kinda suprised to be a max tire size of 32x11.50. What tires do most typically run?

Doesnt look like they spec out what type/size of wheel or rear axle to run? Im guessing that you are going with a 9"?

We'll be on Maxxis Bighorns. 32 x 11.50 in the back on a 15 and the metric equivalent in the front on a 16". Fronts are bigger to prevent sidewall flex and fit bigger brake rotors. You want some sidewall give in the back. They're all DOT street tires though. Everyone runs the same size. Some people are running 16's in the back as well but it just depends on what brand of tire you go with. Maxxis seems to win races and I'm lucky to have a hook up from Ultra 4 racing.

Prob a 10"!!!!
Some guys are running 10". I'm not dropping that coin. They don't break 35 spline gun drilled shafts so 9" gears should be fine. They also spec out you have to run a steel case so that rules out the fancy aluminum drop out stuff. To be prepared you need about 4 3rds in various gear ratios setup ready to swap depending on track conditions.

Makes sense.

Thats kinda what i figured. Also with what looked like engine or atleast fuel limitations and small tire size, I couldnt imagine a LP 9" would be much at risk. Didnt know if you might go back to your roots and put an 8/9.5" yota rear in there.

very cool. i'm interested in the ifs. ive been wanting to build a ifs rig. will it be 4wd or 2wd truck?

I have a Colorado body already but really don't want to run a GM anything. Probably a Toyota body unless Ford Racing comes through with some help on an engine. I think the Tacoma body looks the best really.
