Daggon mud hole (Falls Dam near parking lot). Makes me angry b/c I did the same thing 2 weeks prior 2 times in a row. Went for it this time and slid on the embankment once I was out and went right back in the mud hole, but on my side.
3 or more feet of standing mud, took 2 weeks to clean and it's looking good now but still a bit dirty. Had to take apart the dash, remove the broken glass in my side view mirror, replace bulb in headlight and lightbar light and my air filter (it's an open K&N style). Got a few dents but that's cool, I like to call them my badges of honor. Or battle wounds. Anyhow it's a good story.
Crappy thing is, my daughter was in the passenger seat and it rolled on her side. She was up to her neck in mud and the seat belts locked up and wouldn't let us out but I got her out pretty quick. Scary stuff having that happen with your child in the Jeep. Fortunately we had talked about seat belts and not holding onto the roll cage or anything to that affect.
SUPER COOL people got me out with a tow strap wrapped around a tree on the outside of the fence. Flipped me back over then towed me back a couple feet and drove it out like nothing happened. I hope I see them at URE Cross. Took off air filter and fortunately intake was dripping oil but clean. Radio starts blaring and first thing that comes on is a Geico commercial that says "We reward safe drivers" haha guess I won't be calling them.
Oh btw I need to buy a full cover for a 2000 TJ, will post in the other forum so please let me know if you have one available.
