School me on Battery Terminals

Those Sears Platinum's must be good batteries! Second one I've seen pictures of, today! I just replaced mine, that shorted out, on it's exact 7 year warranty date! I bought it here, off NC4x4, 4 years back, to replace my Optima. It mostly sat around as a back up battery, for 2 years, waiting on the Optima to die. Still, the Sears made it's 7 year warranty. Now I have an Interstate AVG. I notice All batteries I found, have Lowered their warranties! Dat don't sound good.
 
I wish they still made DHP platinum. Now you have to buy the more expensive Odyssey (exact same battery with different color plastic).
 
I got two Duracell AGM's from Sam's club for less than $200 last year. The reason I run two batteries is of course in case of a lot of winching, but mostly because sometimes I need 24V to use my Ready Welder.
