School me on GoPro cameras!

Apparently you have to drink a redbull and then anything you video will be epic!! We used some stream brand and an Emerson action cams but the Gopros were more resistant to damage and water intrusion I like the screen on the new one so you can set it up more accurately we have a few vids that weren't aimed good so the end product really suffered. I just bought a hero 3 black and I love it. I bought a pole mount and I will be making a bumper mount for my xj.
 
Put on a wing suit, strap one to your helmet and play some Awolnation then jump off stuff... Hell it worked for Jeb Corliss.
 
I'm in the market for one too. Gonna be shooting some sick wheeling vids!
 
I love mine, it survived the hell of wheeling, a full snowboarding season including a few solid slams, a trip to Taiwan and South Korea, it's fallen from my X at ~35 mph and was very mildly damaged (a couple of nicks in the case).

I have the Hero 3 plus Silver. Absolutely worth the cash
 
I didn't buy a gopro my buddy bought 4 of the hero 1s and under water housings for hunting and wheeling so I used his
 
I just bought a Hero3+ Black also. I love the remote for it. The batteries only last about an hour and a half of constant recording, so I bought the battery backpack to give me closer to 3.5-4 hours of recording. With a 16gig micro SD card my battery+battery backpack will outlast my memory. I only got a little less than 90 minutes of HD video on a 16gig card.

Gopro recommends Sandisk EXTREME or equivalent (not ULTRA) cards for the Black version cameras. Which increases your cost of SD cards.

Guy at work bought a hero 3 black. He has a app on his phone where he bluetoothed the live feed from the camera to his smartphone. Technology!
 
I can't get my phone to connect to my camera for some reason...

When you buy one, make sure you do something like this! (skip to about 7 minute mark for the action)
 
Mine is a Galaxy S5, but for some reason it doesn't detect my camera.
 
I just double checked my video lengths when I transferred them to my laptop. I only got 80 minutes of video on a 16GB card. I edited my above post.
 
I bought the GoPro Hero3+ silver last night. I couldnt see spending the extra coin for a remote when I can use my phone. I bought the adventure pack with several mounts and I bought the floaty attachement so some drunk fool doesnt deep star six it off my boat. We shall see how technologically un advanced I am when this thing shows up. Either way its gonna be fun. Amazon was the best price for the GoPro series.
