Shop tech questions (humidity and mice)

It’s a really nice door. Designed by an engineer that’s a bit short on, well...everything.

I have never known someone with such focus on a squirrel's testicles.

If you have access to AC (assuming you fix it), I fail to see any reason to ever use a dehumidifier during the summer.
Its the exact same damn thing, except it dumps all the hot air inside instead of outside, which is the opposite of what you want during summer.

The purpose is to keep the machine tool corner (lathe, mill, tooling, gauges) more dry. It's nowhere near enough for the whole shop, and probably not that effective, but it makes me feel better. Running a 3 ton AC in an uninsulated shop is a hell of a lot more expensive than a couple hundred watt dehumidifier.

I'm no help on the humidity, but for the mice you need to bait the crap out of them inside and outside. Get a few tamper proof commercial boxes and bait blocks to go in them. I had mice getting into my storage room through the garage door corners and 2 boxes in there and one behind the dog food can under the carport knocked them out. The ones I have you can't open without the special key and the bait is on a metal rod that is captured when the lid is closed. I am 100% confident my kids nor my dog can get to the bait.

Did you fix your door yet?

I could just put them outside so the moisture doesn't even come in!
