simple 1 ton tj

This is my first real build thread on nc 4x4 forum, first time really modding my 05 tj... im doing a 1 ton swap dana 60 kingpin 14bolt but no stretch no body mods that still to come..

What it has now dana 30 dana 44 4:88 open 4" rock krawler longarm, tom wood's sye and ds anti rock, bilistein 5150 wore out 36" iroks...

What it is getting dana 60 kinpin 5:38,detriot,tnt truss with all new brackets,great lake diff cover. 14 bolt 5:38,arb,rk truss+all new brackets,disk brakes,great lake diff cover and pinion guard. gen right alien tank, ballistic high steering with 7/8 heim sterring kit.. This is what it looked like after first set of upgrades standered every day modified tj

Can't wait to see this come together. Sounds very similar to my plan. Can't beat a TJ on 14b/d60.

S pod and relay female's showed up.. Waiting for 60 to get back from my gear man. Going out to the shop to machine 60 hubs to except 9/16 studs to mach the 14 bolt post up pick's when im done..

just got back from my friend's machine shop (thank's joey). changed dana 60 lug's from 1/2 to 9/16 wapita...

37" pitbull's rocker radial's. When they wear out I'll be going to 41.5" rocker's hyline's 5" stretch in the rear 3" in the front.

Got the 60 back from MR Bost. Need to get it back together and get it painted. Also got me laser V rocker switches.. genright tank suppost to be here tomorrow.. Hopefully my arb well get here so the 14 bolt can get done..

I was looking at the alien tank but that capacity would get annoying. I can't wait to see how much space you have there.

I hated loosing 5 gallon's but, i didn't won't to spend a extra $1000 when I stretch because I didn't have enough room ether.

When doing this did you ream out the holes bigger or just press out the 1/2's and then press in the 9/16?

I've read where some people say to do that, no need to ream out the hole bigger.

I had to drill thim to 39/64 which gave me 7000th press. I read were they will press in with out drilling to. only thing I can think off is the chevy hub has a bigger stud hole. The 9/16 studs I'm using the part # show's it's a chevy anyways.

just finished up installing my genright tank. i ganned 9 1/2" wich should be plenty even when i stretch it later on.
