Nice, I do a lot of the trail work out at Beatty. This looks fun. What kind of distance are you planning?

Not reallt much as far as distance but just fun features. If I had more wooded land and time I'd make some mileage but this is just going to be something to get the blood pumping.

Hope to get started on my next feature this weekend. .as long as the rain holds out.

Sent from a hotel room
in a random po dunk town.

That is looking sweet.

Local trail builders could take some tips from you. Those features look very well built. Too much rickity shit out there these days from people who read an IMBA pamphlet and call themselves a trail builder.

Terrible, tear it down and start over... I think I'll bring my bike next time I'm in Salisbury and see how bad I can hurt my self...

Going to build a burm this weekend and do a little more planning for what to build next. If anyone has any lumber etc ill be glad to take it.

Any pictures of the burm? I'm getting excited to ride this

I got it started yesterday and I works for the most part but it needs to be bigger for the speed carried from the hill. Ill snap some tomorrow and post them.

And here is whats next on the agenda for this weekend

The boards at the end will be drove in the ground about a foot. Then ill add a little rampage at the end something a little smaller to be fun but not crazy.

So, how far did $300 in lumber get ya? :)

If you haven't been yet, you need to ride the backyard trails here in CLT. It will be right up your alley and give you LOTS of ideas for fun features.

To save on lumber, you can just use a chainsaw and cut cross hatching into that big log.

@broncosbybart ive been scavenging for wood I got a lot from work a while back. They just throw it away. I also scored a crap load at the landfill some guy was throwing away. I haven't bought any since the first time.

Yea id like to get down there one day and ride. My only problem now is my bike doesn't fit my rack.. got to do something else soon.

And also I did the cross cut on that log it was ok but since I got free wood I figured id make it a little better or different rather.

Need to make a teeter totter now, or what ever they call it. I did a very small one in Greensboro. Pretty sweet.
