NC4X4 is super slow on my home network, everything else is just as fast. My phone flies here, but drags when on the network.

All started after the server move....

What am I missing?

I can't rule out that it goes unresponsive every once in a while and takes a couple of seconds to return a page request... I don't know that it's doing that, but I don't know that it isn't. But it is snappy for me 99.9% of the time.

I fully understand the problem is on my end, hence the comment about my phone hits this site normally - until I switch it to my home WiFi. The question was "what am I missing?" aka Those who posses more knowledge than I, please direct me to a potential solution for my home network's hatred of nc4x4 (my favorite site, of course) & no problems with any other forum, site, etc.

Thanks!

I'm really not sure. It's possible that your router or modem caches DNS locally, but I'd think that would cause it to be inaccessible, rather than just slow.

reset your router & modem.

PS
The Hillary comment made me smile...

Will try that this evening....pardon my ignorance, but other than powering it down & back up - what else is involved in reseting it?

That's all I do when I re-set. just make sure you give about 30 seconds before powering back up. Then do a speed test & see how close you are to what you are paying for. If it is still slow, go straight to your modem & see if the speed is correct. Do it in chrome and Explorer, I have had issues with just chrome being super slow.

In the event that you're using explorer, check back in a few months when explorer finally reloads and see if anyone has resurrected the thread
