I've been having a lot of problems lately w/ Phoenix feeds not working.
anybody else?

I ordered the Firestick with kodi.. Figured either way I'm gonna need it. Once I get it I'll probably need some advice on the other two y'all are talking about

I've got two base-model Chromeboxes (bought on Black Friday 2014) and a Chromebit, which are full Chrome OS computers. All of our TVs have one attached. Not the cheapest option, but maybe a very good one depending on your needs.

The Chromebit is stick-sized and goes right on the HDMI port, so all you need is a BlueTooth keyboard/touchpad unit and you have a full computer. It's almost as good as the Chromebox, and doesn't seem quite as smooth but that's probably because of the extra memory I added to the Chromeboxes. Still though, I have yet to overtax it with something it can't handle for video.

We use it for Netflix, Hulu, movies, or whatever else we're trying out that never seems to be as good of a service as we'd hoped. No service provider limitations that exist on one type stick or the other. If you can watch it in a Chrome browser on a laptop, you can watch it on those. Haven't tried Sling yet.

For us a big issue is local main networks. We have an antenna, I've tried everything and we just can't get CBS reliably and NBC is hit and miss.

You're using a UHF antenna. You need a VHF antenna to get BAL and JZ. (11 and 13, respectively). WMAR is nominally channel 2, but broadcasts in the UHF band since the digital switch.

All three networks are on the same tower, and 54 is right next door, so if you can get one, you should be able to get them all. PBS will be just a few degrees to the left. You should be able to pull in all the DC affiliates, but you'll need a high-gain antenna and maybe an amp.

Mentioned this in the other thread. I actually do now have 2 antennas just for that reason. We mostly get 11 but 13 is a crapshoot at best.
And yeah we get most of the DC affiliates, even several from York PA etc.
I'm thinking the VHF one jut sucks, or that RCA combiner/amp isn't doing what I'd like.
