Snow

I am another fan of the snow. I don't miss the cold of the northern plains where we moved from but I do miss the snow. Luckily the mountains are only an hour or so from me so I still get to play in it.

The Beast - It's true, you can't drive in the snow down here. Neither can you (collectively) handle a little cold weather which is why it took me 30 minutes to get on to the interstate from my house (which is less than a mile) this morning because everyone was tiptoeing across the Yadkin River bridge on I40. :flipoff2:

who tip toes. this morn i lit the tires in all 5 gears in front my house  :flipoff2: i was only goin 10 mph but u get the idea.

See, you are part of the problem. :gay:

i dont hate snow, i hate what it does to raleigh.

do you remember back in jan or feb when we got a light dusting that caused 10 hour traffic jams and crap like that? freakin ridiculous.

and i hate cold.

I hate winter. If it gets below sixty degrees I'm chilly. But if it's going to cold let it snow.... I love riding around in the stuff.
I can pretty much go anywhere I need to in my 2wd Nissan pickup. There are some real idiots that can't drive in this stuff. Up north they are better prepared for winter weather and people are used to it. Some people are a little foolish though............ My buddy (super redneck, lots of fun) Goes out in his POS camoflage f250. We got on 421 near Lewisville running 60 mph. There was about 4 inches of snow on the road. Graders had not touched it yet. I felt bad for this SUV that was doing about 20 mph as we blew a huge snow wave on them. People that do that crap don't help either.

I have always enjoyed winter. As a kid it was great to get out of school early, especially the college years. There hasn't been enough snow around me the past couple years for me to drive in it that much, but i always had fun when i did, (except of course the 'snow' we got last year that froze the triangle traffic for 12 hours). It is too bad that some can't drive in it, but that just makes it more challenging for those who can. I don't think many on this forum would pass up a good challenge:)
